This contest is open to any person 65 years of age and older as of January 1st.


Register via email at

(subject line "Golden Ambassador").

The following information should be included in your entry:

  • Full name and address

  • Telephone number and email

  • Age and your birthday

  • All activities you participate in or have participated in (school, church, community, part-time job, volunteer, 4H, etc.)

​A social event, open to the public, will be held for the contestants at the end of July (date to be determined). At this time the contestants will meet the judges, the Fair Ambassador committee, the Ambassador Contestants, and the Junior Ambassador Contestants.

On this evening, the contestants will:


  • Be required to present a 2-3 minute speech/story relating their memories of past Parkhill Fairs.

  • Complete a quiz on his/her knowledge of the Parkhill Fair

  • Answer an impromptu question

The winner will be announced at the Opening Ceremonies of the Parkhill Fair (Friday night).


The winner must be available to attend the Parkhill Fair on Saturday for the Baby Show, Prince, Princess, Jr. Prince, Jr. Princess and other events on the weekend, if available. If there are numerous applications, the number of contestants may be limited. Finalists will be contacted prior to the competition.


All Contestants will receive:

  • A $25 bursary from the Parkhill Agricultural Society


The Golden Ambassador will also receive:


  • A $75 bursary from the Parkhill Agricultural Society

  • A sash from D&M Trophies

  • A bouquet of flowers from Frontier Flowers

  • Local Gift Cards to be determined
